The Bird ID Company offers a variety of birdwatching tours and holidays throughout the year to well-known
reserves and other sites across Norfolk and Suffolk. All of these provide fantastic opportunities to see
a wide range of different birds and other wildlife.
We cater for all abilities, from complete beginners who are interested in a general selection of birds to
more experienced birdwatchers who may be targeting certain species. We specialise in helping birdwatchers
get more from their hobby. Our ethos is to help you experience not only regularly seen birds but also
unfamiliar new species, observing more closely all aspects of their appearance and behaviour. Learning
new identification skills in the field should enhance your enjoyment as well as giving you greater
confidence in your own ability. We operate with smaller groups, to maximise everyone’s experience.
We normally see around 60 - 90 species a day depending on the time of year and we often encounter a scarce
or rare bird, which always adds to the excitement on the day.
Our scheduled tours range from one day trips to five day birdwatching holidays. However, we also offer the
flexibility to pick only a specific day, or choose shorter weekend or weekday breaks from within the longer
tours. In addition to our more general seasonal tours, at appropriate times of the year we also offer more
specialised trips to see particular scarce target species. For example, Cranes, Geese, Raptors and Owls in
the winter, Breckland trips in the early spring and Montagu's Harrier, Golden Oriole, Nightjar and Wader
tours in the Summer. Customised birdwatching tours are also available at any time of the year, which can
be tailored specifically to your individual requirements.
