Booking a Bird Tour
Contact us and reserve a place on the bird watching tour of your choice then complete the
booking form
and send it to us at the address shown with the appropriate deposit.
On receipt of the booking form and deposit we will contact you by your preferred choice e-mail,
telephone or in writing with confirmation of the tour and details of the meeting point on the day.
The Bird I.D Company is able to accommodate a late booking if there are places left. It is advisable
to book early as we do get busy, especially during peak seasons.
All daily guided tours begin at 9 am and finish between 4 — 5 pm. The meeting point is always a
recognised car park at the bird watching site. The tour leader will make themselves known at the meeting
point.
Please bring your binoculars and telescope if you have one. The tour leader will always carry a telescope
for the group to share. You may also find your field guide and note book useful on the day.
Recommended field guides – for most species the RSPB handbook of British Birds is pretty good.
If you want a more comprehensive guide for European and vagrant birds then the Collins ‘bird
guide’ and Lars Johnsson’s ‘Birds of Europe’ are both excellent.
It is important that clients wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the time of year. Also please
note that you will need to bring food and drink for the day unless otherwise stated.
The tours will be guided at a comfortable walking pace.
