Booking a Bird Tour

Contact us and reserve your place/s on the bird watching tour/s of your choice then complete the booking form and send to the office with the appropriate deposit.

On receipt of the booking form and deposit we will contact you by your preferred choice e-mail/phone or in writing with confirmation of the tour and details of the meeting point on the day.

The Bird I.D Company is able to offer late booking if there are places on the tour available.

All daily guided tours begin at 9 am and finish between 4 — 5 pm. The meeting point is always a recognized car park at the bird watching site. The tour leader will make themselves known at the meeting point.

Please bring your binoculars and telescope if you have one. The tour leader will ensure that their telescope is available for the group to use. You will also find your bird field guide and note book useful on the day.

Recommended field guides – for most species the RSPB handbook of Britsih Birds is pretty good. If you want a more comprehensive guide for European and vagrant birds then the Collins ‘bird guide’ and Lars Johnsson’s ‘Birds of Europe’ are both excellent.

Clients need to bring food and drink for the day.

Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and please wear dull or dark clothing including hats and gloves.

The tours will be guided at a comfortable walking pace. Please note Wellington boots may be prudent for the tour of Hickling during the winter.
