Winter Birdwatching Tours

The following tours will be running from November 08 to March 09

Crane Tour - A day spent in the Norfolk broads looking for Cranes, geese and birds of prey. Finished off with a trip to the raptor and crane roost

Hawfinch Tour - Visiting sites in Thetford forest looking primarily for Hawfinch & other forest birds including Firecrest and possibly an over wintering Great Grey Shrike. Then in March looking for Goshawk, Woodlark and Lesser Spotted woodpecker as well.

Crane / Hawfinch Weekend – Cranes & Hawfinches with accommodation in Norwich and transportation to all sites.

Owl Tour - potentially looking for all 5 regular species of owl in one day. The tour is highly dependent on the number of owls that come into Norfolk to winter, if it runs it will be during December and January. Please contact me later in the autumn to get more details.

Winter Weekend breaks – We well be visiting Holkham for the geese spectacular and nearby raptor roost. Also Cley, where last year exceptional numbers of Pomarine Skuas and Little auks were seen and a flock of Snow and Lapland buntings plus the odd shore lark. Also, Holme with its variety of habitats especially good for migrants and winter ducks. Or finally Titchwell and Minsmere both of which Produce a wide range of species at any time of year.

Please see Itinerary for more details of specific dates. Costs - Either weekend tour from £150 per person. Any of the above depending on availability will be available as a day tour at the usual rate, except the possible Owl tour where a transportation fee will be charged.
