The Bird I.D. Company
2008 will be a new and exciting time for the Bird I.D company as Stuart White has taken over from Paul Laurie the original owner. Stuart hopes to run the company in a similar fashion and will have some background help from Paul, particularly his knowledge of the tour sites.
Paul is now concentrating on Natural surroundings a 60 acre nature reserve in the countryside of Bayfield Estate near Holt and his Bird Ventures wildlife shop also in Holt.
The Bird I.D Company celebrated it's ninth year of organizing bird watching tours during 2007. The high lights of previous years show the diversity of the birds Norfolk attracts and some of the species which Paul found in one year alone while leading tours are shown below;
Bean Geese, Garganey, Velvet Scoter, Great Northern Diver, Black-necked Grebe, Bittern, Red Kite, Montagu's Harier, Goshawk, Osprey, Long-tailed Skua, Balearic Shearwater, Common Crane, Stone Curlew, Killdeer, White-rumped Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper, Temminck's Stint, Dotterel, Black Guillemot, Little Auk, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Yellow-browed Warbler, Dartford Warbler, Firecrest, Golden Oriole, Red-backed Shrike, Great Grey Shrike, Willow Tit, Shorelark, Lapland Bunting and Little Bunting.

Stuart White has been bird watching for approximately 30 years. He began life in Suffolk but moved to Norfolk at the age of thirteen, where he has birded regularly for 20 years. He loves showing other people birds and is keen to transfer his skills on identification.
Stuart's wealth of experience and expertise is ideal for leading bird watching tours and his affable manner ensures everyone has a great day out and hopefully sees some great birds.
